How To Invest In An Outside Fund From
Your Charles Schwab Account

In this guide, we’ll take you step-by-step. In just a few minutes, you could be one step closer to your investment goals. 

On desktop: 

  1. Log into your Charles Schwab account.
  2. On your homepage, select “trade” in the navigation bar.
  3. Select “mutual funds” from the menu.
  4. Enter NASDX in the “symbol” box.
  5. Under “select action,” choose “buy.”
  6. Input an investment amount (the minimum is $1000).
  7. Select how you’d like to proceed with the transaction fee (either deduct fee from total or add fee to total).
  8. Choose if you want a reinvest option.
  9. Once you’re finished with your selections, click the “review order” button.
  10. If you’re satisfied with your review, select “place order.”

On mobile: 

  1. Open your Charles Schwab app and log in. 
  2. At the bottom of your screen, select the “trade” icon.
  3. In the box that reads “enter symbol/company name” type in NASDX.
  4. Select NASDX.
  5. In the “action” row, tap “select action” and choose “buy.”
  6. Enter the amount you’d like to invest with (the minimum on the app is $2,500).
  7. Choose your “reinvest type.”
  8. Tap review order and complete the transaction.
